This is the first time that I'm creating a blog on this site, and probably the most memorable one, for a while ago, an hour before lunch... I ALMOST DIED....
It started when my close girl friends at the office, Cha and May-Anne, agreed to have lunch at Mister Kebab. Our moods are very much vibrant because we haven't visited that restaurant for a while and it's the first time that we will go there together. We rode an EMS Taxi. At first we are very noisy, busy with blabbering about the things that happened during the day, discussing about the calls and weird customers and the last escalation that I had, when an overbearing customer thought that a DSLAM CARD is a NIC and is located inside his PC (haha to think that he is an A+ Microsoft Engineer at that) when I and Cha noticed that the vehicles are swerving in different directions. Our car almost collided with the bus at our right. I was not able to control myself and shouted " Mama may bus! ". The driver was able to grab the steering wheel and avoided the collision, with May-anne still busy with listening the using, unaware of what is happening of her surroundings. But that didn't stopped the scare-o-meter from plummeting sky-high because the driver, now dozing off, almost had the car slam directly to the island in the middle of the Elliptical Circle and I let another wail out. Cha had me calm down by creating a conversation.
" Alam mo matagal na din akong hindi nakakapunta ng Wildlife. Ikaw, kailan ka pa huling nagpunta dyan?"
"Nung high school pa ako, at gusto ko pa ulit makapunta dyan, ng buhay", I just said softly which made it inaudible to the driver.
After I said that, Cha still continued with forming casual talks but she keeps on stammerring and stopping because she also checks if the driver is dozing off... again. The driver must have noticed that we are checking him out so he adjusted the rear view mirrow so that we can't see him on it, sleeping. I had another panic attack because we are seeing his hands placed on the headrest and not on the steering wheel and he is dozing off again, this time driving the car with his eyes fully closed. Then all of a sudden, the driver suddenly made the car accelerate and overtook most of the vehicles with a sweeping side-winder like motion. We are sweating coldly and I'm thinking that we will collide to any fast moving vehicle any second...
At last we are able to reach West Avenue without any bruises. At the sight of the restaurant's signboard, I told Cha that we should board off the car coz we are near the establishment already but as we signalled the driver to stop, he immediately did a U-TURN to drop us at the entrance and almost hit another car. We breathed heavily as we are giving the fare and sweared that we will not ride on any EMS Taxi again...
As we are eating our lunch, I really appreciated the fact that I am still alive, and thanked God for the protection that He gave us when we're still on that car. We just laughed about what happened, but I'm for sure, will not forget what happened today, and I'm writing a blog, as a token of remembrance...
